PM Dahal hopeful of resolving problem within ruling coalition



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda said that the problems that have surfaced within the ruling coalition lately will be resolved soon.

Speaking to reporters after the party’s Standing Committee meeting on Saturday, Prime Minister Dahal said that the talks are ongoing and the problems will be resolved.

He said, “I am taking the initiative. The problem will be addressed.”

The ruling coalition has faced a problem regarding whether or not to give the Home Ministry to the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

The RSP has warned of quitting the government if they did not get the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The two-day ultimatum given by RSP is ending today.
