Nepali national wins lottery worth Rs 82 million in UAE



KATHMANDU: Ranjit Kumar Pal, a Nepalese youth working in Qatar, has won 23 million dirhams, which is about Rs 82 million Nepalese rupees in the series 248 of the Big Ticket Raffle draw held in Abu Dhabi.

He has been working in a money exchange company in Doha, the capital of Qatar for the past seven years.

He had bought ticket number 232936 on January 16.

Pal had been buying big tickets with a group of 20 friends for the past 15 months. He plans to continue it in the future as well.

In the next draw on March 3, one lucky winner will receive 15 million dirhams.

The second prize is 1 million dirhams, the third prize is 1 million dirhams and the fourth prize is 50,000 dirhams.
