KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayankaji Shrestha instructed the Chiefs of Transport Offices to work in the best interest of the public.
“I have heard the complaints that public suffered a lot while availing services. They should not suffer anymore,” Minister Shresths said, directing concerned officials to render services from those offices till 5 pm instead of 4 pm and cut short the tedious process of issuing new driving license.
“There’s no compromise in providing quality services. Work abiding by the rules,” Shrestha said.
Minister Shrestha, following widespread complaints about all-pervasive middlemen in those offices, instructed to end the meddling of middlemen.
He also warned of stern action against employees for their wrongdoings.
It may be noted that Minister Shrestha inspected various Transport Management Offices in Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday.
