Pokhara’s promotional program begins in eastern belt

POKHARA: A promotional program to lure tourists in Pokhara from the eastern districts of the country has been started in partnership between Hotel Association, Pokhara, and Pokhara Metropolitan City.

A team of hoteliers, people’s representatives, media persons and stakeholders from Pokhara is visiting the business leaders and tourism related institutions in the eastern part of the country, extending them an invitation to visit Pokhara.

Chairman of Hotel Association, Pokhara, Laxman Subedi, said that the team from Pokhara discussed with the business community in Bardibas of Mahottari district to develop tourism partnership.

The number of domestic tourists in Pokhara has increased lately, thanks to various promotional events.

Hoteliers Gopal Karki of Bardibas said that Nepal’s tourism industry could be made dynamic through the development of domestic tourism and expressed his readiness for the partnership to promote domestic tourism.

Likewise, Madhesh province committee member of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) Dipendra Parajuli said that some of the destinations are not explored due to lack of infrastructures including road network.

The team from Pokhara is scheduled to visit Biratnagar, Birtamod, Dhankuta and other cities in the eastern belt and hold consultations with the tourism fraternities there.

Pokhara’s tourism entrepreneurs are extending their invitations to both the domestic and international tourists with the slogan of “Jau Hai Pokhara” (Let’s Go Pokhara) for long.
