APF and Three Star play draw while Satdobato beat Army on Saturday

KATHMANDU: While the departmental club Tribhuvan Army was defeated by Satdobato Football Club in the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League football match on Saturday, Three Star and APF club shared the points by playing a 1-1 draw match today.

Satdobato defeated Tribhuvan Army Club 2-1 in the match played on Saturday at Chyasal Ground and got their first win after four consecutive losses in the league.
Earlier, Satdobato defeated Three Star 2-0 after losing four consecutive games, and the title seemed far away for it. After defeating the departmental team, Satdobato improved three places in the points table and climbed to fifth place.

Shiva Subedi and Deepakraj Singh Thakuri scored one goal each in Satdobato’s win. Navayug Shrestha of the Army scored a goal. In the second minute of the game, Shiva scored and gave Satdobato an early lead. However, Navayug scored a goal in the 29th minute of the game and brought the Army to a 1-1 draw in the first half.

But Satdobato took the lead again in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Deepakraj Singh Thakuri scored a penalty and gave Satdobato a 2-1 victory. This is Satdobato’s ninth win in the ongoing league. Satdobato has climbed to fifth place with 32 points in 24 games. Army has dropped to the ninth position with 30 points.

Similarly, in the match played at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar on Saturday, Three Star and APF shared the points.

In a thrilling match, APF took the lead in the 23rd minute of the match through Manikumar Lama’s goal. Despite APF’s maintaining a continuous lead until the last minute, Sunil Tamang, a substitute player, scored a goal in the 86th minute of the game, bringing Three Star to a 1-1 draw.

With this Three Star has secured the 11th position scoring 28 points from 24 games.

APF is in the eighth place scoring 30 points in the league so far.
