Marathon competition being held in Rara today



MUGU: A marathon competition is to be held in Rara Lake area of Mugu district on Saturday.

The Shreebox Company of Nepali Army, Rara Hutu and Chhayanath Rara Municipality are jointly organizing the third series of the Rara Marathon Competition.

Chief of Shreebox Company Dolraj Shrestha said that the event is expected to promote tourism in Rara lake and produce province-level and national-level athletes.

The runners in the marathon competition will run around the Rara Lake, the largest lake in the country.

The winner of the competition will receive Rs 40,000 in cash and the first runner-up and second runner-up will get Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 each.
