KATHMANDU: Police arrested Sandeep Rayamajhi, son of UML Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi in a fake Bhutanese refugee issue.

He will be brought to Kathmandu on Thursday, said SSP Dan Bahadur Karki, head of District Police Circle, Kathmandu.

The Kathmandu Police had earlier issued an arrest warrant against the former Deputy Prime Minister Rayamajhi and his son from the District Court of Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Sources claim that Sandeep was found to have taken a check worth Rs 10 million to send Nepali citizens as Bhutanese refugees abroad.

Police have already arrested Keshab Dulal, Sanu Bhandari, Tek Gurung, Indrajit Rai, and former Home Secretary Teknarayan Pandey.
