Govt to construct Gautam Buddha Int’l Cricket Stadium

The government has decided to take ownership of the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium in Chitwan and complete the stadium. A meeting of the cabinet held on Monday made the decision to this effect.

EC calls for applications for by-election observation

The Election Commission has called for applications for the observation of the by-election to the member of the House of Representatives scheduled on April 23. The EC called for the application along with necessary documents from the national organizations wishing to observe the by-election.

RSP Chair Lamichhane files candidacy from Chitwan-2

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has filed his candidacy from Chitwan Constituency-2 for the by-election to the House of Representatives to be held on April 23. Lamichhane reached the Chief Electoral Officer’s office at 11:30 on Monday morning and filed his candidacy.

JSP chair Yadav files candidacy in Bara-2

Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSP) chairman Upendra Yadav has registered his candidacy for the forthcoming April 23 by-elections from Bara-2. Yadav went to the Chief Election Officer’s office and registered his candidacy on Monday afternoon.

Nepal sees 76 coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 227

Nepal recorded 76 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Out of the confirmed cases, 49 were tested through the RT-PCR method and  27 through the Antigen method.
