Baitadi jeep mishap kills one, injures 11



BAITADI: One person died and 11 others got injured when a jeep coming to Dehimandu from Ganameshwor met with an accident at Pancheshwar-5, Tilakpur on Monday morning.

According to Baitadi Police Spokesperson Inspector Yogesh Khatri, the Jeep No. SE1J 295 coming from Ganameshwar to Dehimadu met with an accident at 11 am today.

Inspector Khatri informed that 55-year-old Mahadev Bhatt, a resident of Pancheshwar-5, Masina died on the spot due to the accident.

According to the police, there were 12 passengers in the jeep when it met with an accident and fell 70 meters down the road.

Those injured in the accident are being rescued. The identity of the injured has not been disclosed yet.

A team of 30 people including Chief District Officer Suresh Panthi, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prem Bahadur Shahi has reached the spot.
