Asia Rugby U20 Men’s and Women’s Sevens in Kathmandu on August 19-20



KATHMANDU: Nepal is hosting the “Asia Rugby U20 Men’s and Women’s Sevens” from August 19-20.

Organized by the Nepal Rugby Association (NRA), various seven countries are participating in the match in the men’s category, and three countries in the women’s category.

Nepal, India, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, and Uzbekistan will take part in the men’s category, and Nepal, Thailand, and Malaysia in the women’s category, said the NRA General Secretary Govinda Ghimire at a press conference organized here today to inform about the match.

The winning team will bag the Asia rugby trophy. The venue for the tournament is the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, and the estimated cost is around Rs 7.2 million. The closed training session for the participants is underway in Pokhara, said the match organizer.
