Maoist Center claims to have more than 700 thousand party members



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center has claimed that the number of its party members is 752,956.

Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also announced the number of party members while presenting the organizational report at the party’s central committee meeting in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Chairman Dahal has said that most of the party members are in Bagmati province.

According to him, there are 147,353 members in Bagmati, 112,910 in Lumbini, 99,601 in Koshi, 116,975 in Madhes, 85,774 in Karnali, 66,687 in Gandaki and 80,482 in Sudurpaschim province.

Similarly, there are 19,312 members in contact committees, 18,325 members in Kathmandu Valley, and 5,537 members abroad.
