KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing the influence of monsoon.

The weather across the country is likely to remain generally to mostly cloudy today, the Weather Forecast Division said.

Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places in Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudur Pashchim Province and in some places of the rest of the country, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

At the moment, there is light to moderate rainfall occurring in some locations within the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

In the afternoon, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in certain areas of the Koshi Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

Additionally, there is a chance of light to moderate rain in some areas of the remaining provinces.

Furthermore, the Division has forecast heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two locations in the Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudur Paschim Pradesh provinces.

There is also a chance of gusty winds in a few places in Lumbini Province.

During the night, the Division has forecast heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the Koshi and Madhesh provinces.

The continuous rainfall is likely to have an impact on various sectors such as road and air transport, health, agriculture, and tourism.
