Yuvraj Safal seeks investigation on Narayanhiti Durbar massacre



KATHMANDU: The coordinator of Nepal Samajwadi Morcha, Yuvraj Safal, has submitted an application to Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha asking the government for an impartial investigation into the Narayanhiti Durbar massacre that took place on May 1, 2001.

Safal drew the attention of the government and demanded an investigation into the royal massacre arguing that the indifference towards the incident has tarnished the image of the country.

“The image of Nepal has been tarnished even internationally as the truth about the murder of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah and Queen Aishwarya Rajya Lakshmi Shah has not come out to date,” Safal argued.
