Fake Bhutanese Refugee case: District court takes statements of 18 accused



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court has taken statements from 18 people involved in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.

The court took the statements of the defendants who are currently incarcerated by the district attorney’s office.

The information officer of the Court said that the statement against the accused was finished on Friday and the detention hearing will start on Sunday. The hearing has been held in the bench of Judge Prem Prasad Neupane.

The court on Friday took statements from former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, Bhutanese rights leader Teknath Rijal, and gang member Haribhakta Maharjan. The statement with the rest was already over.
