3 missing in CTEVT’s jeep mishap in Sindhuli

SINDHULI: Three people in the jeep went missing when the jeep heading to Khotang from Kathmandu fell into the Sunkoshi River at golanjor-7, Laukun section of Madhyapahadi Highway, in Sindhuli on Friday.

According to DSP Chiranjeevi Dahal of Sindhuli District Police Office, the Ba 1 Jha 7467 jeep carrying an employee of the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) fell into the river while going from Kathmandu to Khotang.

The police said that there were four people, including the driver, in the jeep. Although driver Krishna Chaudhary managed to come out from the river, the remaining three went missing.

The missing include Krishna Bahadur KC, 57 of Bhanu-9, Tanahu, Yam Prasad Ghurtel, 56, of Pragatinagar-7, Nawalpur, and Bhanu Paudel, 32, of Ilam.

The search and rescue efforts are underway, the police said.
