Govt to bring ordinance to address issues of loan sharking victims



KATHMANDU: The government is all set to ensure legal provisions through an ordinance to address and resolve the issues faced by loan sharking victims.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday decided to amend the laws by bringing an ordinance to troubleshoot the problems of the loan sharking victims.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma said, “A decision has been made to recommend an ordinance to the President to ensure legal provisions to resolve the issues in regard to the victims of the usury.”

The ordinance will be sent to the President by today itself, Minister Sharma added.
