Govt to bring ordinance to address issues of loan sharking victims
The government is all set to ensure legal provisions through an ordinance to address and resolve the issues faced by the loan sharking victims. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday decided to amend the laws by bringing an ordinance to troubleshoot the problems of the loan sharking victims.
Nepal wins ACC Men’s Premier Cup
Nepal has won the ACC Men’s Premier Cup, making its way to the Asia Cup. In the final held at the Kirtipur-based TU Ground, Nepal defeated the UAE by 7 wickets to secure its place in the Asia Cup scheduled to take place in coming September. Nepal is to meet India and Pakistan who are in group ‘A’ along with Nepal. Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are in group ‘B’.
PM congratulates Nepali cricketers for being qualified for Asia Cup
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has congratulated a Nepali cricket team for winning the title of ACC Men’s Premier Cup. The head of the government has pledged to highly acknowledge the achievement of Nepali cricketers and to encourage and award them.

One-way traffic resumes along Prithvi Highway
One-way traffic has resumed along Prithvi Highway from 10:00 am today after 18 hours. The vehicular movement was obstructed at the border of Dhunibensi Municipality and Thakre Rural Municipality in Dhading district along the Prithvi Highway after a motorable bridge over Ganeshkhola (rivulet) caved in on Monday evening.

Mt Everest witnesses highest number of climbers in seven decades
This spring, an unprecedented number of climbers are making attempts to climb the world’s tallest peak, Mt Everest. A total of 466 climbers — 98 female and 368 male — from 43 groups have obtained permits to climb Mt Everest this season, according to the Department of Tourism.
ACC Men’s Premier Cup: Sandeep Lamichhane declared the best player of the tournament
Sandeep Lamichhane, the former captain and chief bowler of the Nepali cricket team, has been declared the best player in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup. Lamichhane played a remarkable role to bring Nepal to the Asia Cup. He took 13 wickets in 5 matches throughout the tournament.
On the batting side, Sandeep scored 42 runs.
Size of Nepal’s economy reaches Rs 5381.34 billion
The country’s overall size of the economy is projected to be Rs 5381.34 billon with an increase of 1.86 point percent in the consumer price in the fiscal year 2079/080 BS.
