KATHMANDU: Sandeep Lamichhane, the former captain and chief bowler of the Nepali cricket team, has been declared the best player in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup.
Lamichhane played a remarkable role to bring Nepal to the Asia Cup.
He took 13 wickets in 5 matches throughout the tournament.
On the batting side, Sandeep scored 42 runs.
Similarly, UAE wicket-picker Vritya Aravind was selected as the best batsman of the tournament.
Lamichhane scored a total of 454 runs in 6 matches with 2 centuries and 1 half-century.
Similarly, Oman’s fast bowler Bilal Khan was declared the best bowler. He took 17 wickets in 6 matches.
Nepal defeated UAE by 7 wickets in the final today and traveled to the Asia Cup to be held in September.
India and Pakistan along with Nepal are in group ‘A’ of the tournament to be held in Pakistan.
Similarly, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan will compete in Group ‘B’.
