MPs of eight coalition partners to attend orientation session

KATHMANDU: Members of Parliament (MPs) of eight coalition partners, including the Nepali Congress (NC), will attend an orientation session in Kathmandu today (Thursday).

Lawmakers of both House of Representatives (HoR) and National Assembly (NA) supporting NC presidential candidate Ram Chandra Poudel will attend the session, said NC office secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.

MPs from Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, Unified Socialist, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Rastriya Janamorcha, Janata Samajwadi Party, and Janamat Party will attend the orientation session.

The parties have supported the candidacy of NC senior leader Poudel as the President.

The presidential election will be held on March 9.
