Nepal sees 12 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 16

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded 12 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Out of the confirmed cases, three were detected through the RT-PCR method and nine through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 850 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of them, 157 were tested through RT-PCR method and 693 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 16 active cases in the country as five infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,020 to date.
