KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda told his party leaders that the Rabi Lamichhane-led Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has put him in a quagmire by demanding Home Ministry.
According to a Maoist leader, in Thursday’s Standing Committee meeting held at the party office in Koteshwar, PM Dahal said that the ruling alliance was in trouble due to the rigid stance of RSP.
RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has been regularly meeting PM Dahal demanding that his paryt should get the Ministry of Home Affairs as agreed by te ruling partners.
“RSP has made it difficult for me now. Even CPN-UMl Chairman KP Oli is under pressure. Let’s see till tomorrow,” the leader quoted PM Dahal as saying.
However, PM Dahal, emerging out of the meeting, told journalists that he believed RSP will not quit the government.
