JSP and Unified Socialist working on party unification plan

KATHMANDU:  Preparations are underway to unite the Upendra Yadav-led Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Madhav Kumar Nepal-led CPN-Unified Socialist party.

According to Unified Socialist spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada, the leaders have intensified the discussion for the unification between JSP and Unified Socialist.

He informed that the Politburo meeting of the United Socialist Party held in Kathmandu on Tuesday decided to intensify talks for the unification with ‘like-minded parties’ like JSP.

Unified Socialist party and JSP have got 10 and 12 lawmakers respectively in the House of Representatives.
