Weather: Impact of westerly winds prevails across Nepal



KATHMANDU: The country presently experiences the impact of westerly winds, contributing to a noticeable decrease in temperatures.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is generally clear in most parts of the country, with the hilly regions experiencing partial cloudiness.

In the afternoon, the weather in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces is likely to remain partly cloudy to normal conditions.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will witness partly cloudy to generally clear skies.

There is also a slight chance of light rain in specific locations within Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim Province.

Additionally, anticipate the possibility of light snowfall in selected spots in the highlands and Himalayan regions.

As night falls, the hilly areas will experience partial cloudiness, while the rest of the country will enjoy generally clear conditions.

There remains a potential for light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has urged people to take necessary precautions to mitigate the potential effects of snowfall, and temperature drops across the nation.
