Actor Anmol KC released from custody

KATHMANDU: Actor Anmol KC has been released from police custody.

The police have requested him to appear before them when required.

According to Kumod Dhungel, spokesperson of District Police Circle Kathmandu, although the District Court initially permitted a three-day detention, Anmol KC was released as there was no need for further investigation.

After his release, Anmol KC departed from the police station in his car.

The arrest stemmed from a complaint filed by producer Supriya Katuwal concerning a financial transaction dispute related to the film ‘Ravayan’. Anmol KC was apprehended in Sanga on Friday evening.

During police questioning, Anmol KC maintained that he had attempted to return 10 lakhs, but the producer of ‘Ravayan’ had declined to accept it.

Additionally, he expressed his reluctance to participate in the project, citing a lack of comprehension of the script.
