Groundwork preparation underway for unity between Maoist forces: PM Dahal



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said groundwork is undergoing for the unity between the parties of former Maoists background.

While interacting with the central members and provincial officials of the Maoist Center in Pokhara on Saturday morning, Chairman Dahal said that discussions with former Maoist forces are undergoing.

“We have a history of sacrifice, and determination for the betterment of the country. The hope and trust placed on us by the people is also strong, it should be used in favor of building the country,” he said, adding, “We are trying to do better. Feudalism and reactionism have piled up garbage, without cleaning it, a country cannot be led to prosperity.”

Prime Minister Dahal interpreted the formation of the Socialist Front as the foundation of socialism and vowed to take concrete initiatives for party unity with all Maoist forces in the country.
