Westerly wind-induced rain likely to continue today



KATHMANDU: The general impacts of westerly wind has caused rain to cloudy weather across the country at present.

The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that the westerly wind has caused rain and thunders coupled with strong winds in some places of Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, Koshi provinces and other provinces.

The Division said that there will be generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country and light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Bagmati and other places of the high hilly and mountainous region of the country.

It said that some parts of the high hills and mountainous region would witness snowfall as well.

Tonight, there is a possibility of light rain across the country.
