Birgunj sub-metropolis starts demolishing illegal structures



BIRGUNJ: The Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City has started a campaign to get rid of illegal structures built in public spaces.

Towards this, the campaign began with removal of such structures constructed in the Children Park at Adarshanagar in ward no 10 of the Sub-Metropolis since last Tuesday.

Furthermore, the Sub-Metropolis has begun retrieving some four bighha of encroached land surrounding Mairam Pokhari in spite of the outcry from the locals.

The Sub-Metropolis had built a children park in 18 kattha of land owned by Mairam Pokhari some four years ago while some stretch of Mairam Pokhari was encroached by individuals.
