Sudurpaschim province gets educational materials worth over Rs 11 million



KATHMANDU: Educational materials and school bags worth over Rs 11 million have been distributed to around 6,000 children of three districts in the Sudurpaschim Province.

The educational materials were distributed under a project run jointly by the Rural Women Unity and Development Centre (RUWDUC) and the China Foundation, said the RUWDUC executive director Amar Saud. The initiative meant to provide quality education and access to education for all children, he said.

Under the project, educational materials and school bags were distributed to around 6,000 children of 29 community schools of three districts (Dadeldhura, Kailali and Kanchanpur) in the province, he said.

The beneficiaries included 2,299 children from 14 community schools in Amargadhi and Parshuram Municipalities in Dadeldhura, 2,246 from eight schools within Dhangadhi Sub Metropolitan City in Kailali, and 1,455 from seven schools in Krishnapur and Beldadi Municipalities in Kanchanpur.
