PM Dahal to take vote of confidence after Presidential election

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” is to take the vote of confidence at the House of Representatives after the presidential election.

Chief Whip of Maoist Center Parliamentary Party Hitraj Pandey said that PM will take a vote of confidence only after the presidential election.

The presidential election will be held on March 9.

Nepali Congress’ senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and CPN-UML’s Subash Chandra Nemwang have registered their nominations for the post of the President.

The UML, meanwhile, has already withdrawn its support to the Dahal-led government, while the Congress has taken a stand to remain in the opposition until it enters the government.

Meanwhile, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has also withdrawn its support to the government.
