Promotion of right to information is to ensure good governance: PM

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that good governance would be established in the society alongside a guarantee of people’s right to information. Promoting people’s right to information would create a new climate for development, he said today while receiving the annual report of the National Information Commission amid a function at the Office of Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers in Singhadurbar.

Baglung-Pokhara road section to remain off for 8 hours a day

The Baglung-Pokhara section of the Mid Hill Highway is to be closed for eight hours a day citing the upgradation of the road. Vehicles along the route would remain off the road in the Baglung-Pokhara section as the road widening campaign is expedited, the Mid Hill Highway Project said. According to the Project, the road would remain closed from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm to 1:00 am every day.

Swiss Ambassador calls on Foreign Minister Paudyal

Ambassador of Switzerland to Nepal Elisabeth von Capeller has called on Foreign Minister Dr Bimala Rai Paudyal today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singhadurbar. During the meeting matters of bilateral cooperation including the activities under Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) were discussed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in its official Twitter account.

USAID Administrator Samantha Power to Travel to Nepal

United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Samantha Power is visiting Nepal in early February.
