House of Representatives meeting taking place today

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives is taking place today afternoon.

In the meeting to be held at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneswor, the Speaker will read out the letter from the President’s office regarding the assignment of duties, and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda will present the 22nd annual report of the National Human Rights Commission (2078/079).

Similarly, in today’s meeting, according to the Parliament Secretariat, there is a possible agenda for the Speaker to inform the House of Representatives that a position of a Member of the House of Representatives is vacant according to Clause (b) of Article 89 of the Constitution of Nepal in accordance with (1) of Rule 212 of the House of Representatives Rules, 2075.

The Speaker will inform the Parliament that the post of Rastriya Swatantra Party Rabi Lamichhane has been revoked by the Supreme Court.
