Alliance needed to counter repeated attacks on Constitution: NC leader Mahat

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that an electoral alliance was needed to counter the repeated attacks on the Constitution.

The NC leader said the five-party alliance will win most of the seats as it was formed to challenge the attacks on the constitution.

He was of the view that the electoral alliance was needed even to form the majority government due to the existing electoral system and urged the party cadres to work with dedication to make the alliance’s candidates victorious.

“The alliance will get continuity even after the November 20 elections. And, the country will take a new political course after the formation of the coalition government,” according to the NC spokesperson.
