Nepal Airlines Chairman ruined the organization: Minister Shrestha

KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha has accused the chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) of destroying the organization.

Speaking at a program entitled ‘Problems and Challenges of Tourism and Civil Aviation Sector’ organized by CPN-Unified Socialist in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Minister Shrestha held NAC Chairman responsible for the poor performance of the corporation.

He said that the airlines could not take all the domestic and international flights due to incompetent management.

Minister Shrestha accused the NAC Chairman of renting the engine instead of paying attention towards its repair and maintenance.

He said that although he had given instructions to transfer the flight tickets to the online system, the airlines have not yet transferred the tickets to the online system. Minister Shrestha said that the airline did not coordinate with the ministry and said that if NAC is run in this way, it will collapse soon.
