Five school bus drivers penalized for driving under influence in Kathmandu Valley



KATHMANDU: Five drivers of school buses have been found to have been driving under influence in Kathmandu Valley.

Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajendra Prasad Bhatta said five drivers have been held after they were found to be driving school bus under influence on Sunday morning.

The Traffic Police Office had begun a campaign to sensitize school bus drivers violating the School Bus Guidelines on July 24.

SSP Bhatta said 16 school bus drivers were punished for violating traffic rules on Sunday morning and five of them were found to be driving under influence. He said the sensitizing campaign would continue in the days ahead.
