5.3 magnitude earthquake hits Bhojpur; tremor felt in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: A 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal’s Bhojpur and surrounding areas on Sunday morning, according to the National Seismological Center.

The quake took place at 8.13 am with its epicenter in Bhojpur district.

Shockwaves from the quake were felt in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts, said the local people.

However, no details of losses caused by the quake have been reported.
