Tara Air plane crash: Remains of all 22 brought to Kathmandu

he remains of 22 people who were killed in the Sunday’s Tara Air crash at Thasang Rural Municipality-2 in Mustang have been brought to Kathmandu.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) general manager Prem Nath Thakur, the bodies of ten were brought on Monday evening and of the remaining 12 were dropped at TIA Tuesday by a Nepal Army helicopter.

All the bodies have been sent to the TU Teaching Hospital for post-mortem. They will be handed to the respective families after the post-mortem.

Bad touch case: Actress and monk reach an agreement

An agreement has been reached between actress Miruna Magar and monk Phurba Lama. Both have agreed to apologize to each other and not to dispute over the issue again.

Miruna had slapped Lama on Sunday accusing him of abusing her (badly touching her) during an interaction with fans of ‘Kabaddi 4: The Final Match’ at Civil Mall. Lama was handed over to the police following the incident.

Lama, a permanent resident of Mugu, admitted his mistake and apologized to actress Magar.

CoAS Sharma going on foreign visit

Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhu Ram Sharma is visiting various countries in connection with motivating the Nepali peacekeepers mobilized in conflict zones and acquiring information on the varied aspects as well as future plans of different UN missions.

Banks register Rs 13 billion increase in deposit after election

The banks and financial institutions that had been experiencing the alarming decrease in the deposits have witnessed a relief with the increase of deposits after the May 13 local level election.

In the two weeks since the election, Rs 13 billion has been added to commercial banks.

According to the Nepal Bankers’ Association, deposits in commercial banks stood at Rs. 4370 billion prior to May 13 election.

NEPSE declines by 35.53 points Tuesday

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has declined for the second day in a row after the government brought the budget for the coming fiscal year 2022/23. The market, which declined by 35.53 points on Tuesday, stopped at 2137.92 points.

Even on Monday, the market had declined by more than 50 points.

Share prices of all subgroups except mutual funds declined on Tuesday. Investors in non-life insurance companies have lost the most.

A total of 37,69,812 shares of 229 companies were traded through 27,519 transactions on Tuesday. A total of Rs 1.31 billion were transacted on this day.
