Unified Socialist leader Khanal holds talks with Russian Ambassador Novikov

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has held a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Nepal Alexei Novikov.

Welcoming Ambassador Novikov at a meeting held at Khanal’s residence in Dallu this morning, the former Prime Minister expressed confidence that Nepal and Russia have a long and cordial relationship and will continue to develop in the days ahead.

During the meeting, issues of mutual interests were discussed between the two countries, according to Khanal’s personal secretary Krishna Bhattarai.

On the occasion, Ambassador Novikov also expressed belief that the Nepal-Russia relations would be deeper and broader in the days to come, said Bhattarai.
