Flight services disrupted as fuel tanker overturns at Pokhara Airport

POKHARA: A fuel taker has turned sideways at the Pokharar Airport, bringing a halt to flight services.

Spokesperson of Pokhara Airport Devraj Subedi said that the flight services will remain disrupted for a while after the fuel tanker overturned on the runway and spilled fuel.

“We are removing the tanker by bringing a crane now. No damage has been incurred even though fuel has been spilled,” Spokesperson Subedi said.

Subedi further said that the morning service flight would be disrupted for about an hour due to the same reason.

The refuel tanker was carrying fuel for planes from Oil Corporation depot. Subedi further informed flights may resume in half hours after removing tanker and cleaning the surface.
