KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has expressed his hope that the nation would find a path for prosperity and stability after the three-tier election.
In his address to a function organized to mark the 24th anniversary of the Reporters’ Club Nepal in Kathmandu Thursday, he said peoples would have their enthusiastic participations in the three-level election and observe it at a mega festival.
“We will conclude the elections as the mega festival,” the government Spokesperson said, adding that the government was serious about the election credibility and holding it freely and without any fear.
As he said, all political parties should have a common resolution and concerted efforts to realize people’s aspirations for a prosperous Nepal. “We have guaranteed freedom of the Press in the Constitution,” he said, adding the incumbent government was always conscious for the protection of it.
He hoped that the Club would play a role for further enhancement of the free Press and the freedom of expression as well as the civic supremacy.
Sharing about the government plan of developing Nepal as the rich countries in the entire Asia in upcoming 10 years, the Minister said the government was moving ahead accordingly. Now onwards, we must have a common resolution, that is to take the country towards democratic stability and prosperity, Lets’ unite for it.”
The government spokesperson on the occasion also time to make it clear that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s India visit taking place from tomorrow, Friday, would contribute to further consolidating bilateral ties.
