Indian nat’l killed in Sarlahi car mishap; five injured



KATHMANDU: A person has died and five others have sustained injuries in a car accident in Lalbandi of Sarlahi district.

The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Indian national Nabin Yadav of Sitamadhi district of India. The accident occurred at Lalbandhi municipality-17 along the East-West Highway.

Critically injured Yadav, who was rushed to Gadhimai Hospital, was pronounced dead by doctors, said District Police Office, Sarlahi.

Yadav’s body has been taken to Provincial Hospital, Malangawa for postmortem.

Atul Kumar, Dibyans Yadav alias Umesh, Prince Raj Rajput, Saurav Yadav alias Bajarangi of Bayaldabad Dhanushi-2 and Atit Yadav of Muzaffarpur, Ramnagar have been injured.

They are undergoing treatment at Gadhimai Hospital, said police. The speeding car had fallen 10 feet down the road after it went out of control.

DSP Madhav Prasad Budhathoki of DPO, Sarlahi said they are investigating the case.
