DANG: The first session of the second term of the Lumbini State Assembly will begin from January 2, 2023.

Province Chief Amik Sherchan has called the Provincial Assembly session at 1 pm on January 1 in accordance with Article 183 of the Constitution.

The assembly will be held at the newly-constructed state assembly building in Deukhuri of Dang.

The oath of the members of the provincial assembly is taking place on January 1.

State Chief Sherchan will administer the oath to the state assembly members in Lumbini.

In the 87-member provincial assembly, 29 members are from CPN-UML, 27 from Nepali Congress, 9 from Maoist Center, 4 each from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and Nagarik Unmukti Party, 3 each from Janata Samajwadi Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Janamat Party and independent members, one MP each from United Socialist Party and Rashtriya Janamorcha.
