Nepal sees 257 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 257 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 143 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 114 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,921 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,458 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,463 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 3,146 active cases in the country as 232 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,000 to date.
