Difficult to identify bodies, say locals who reach Tara Air crash site

POKHARA: Locals at Sanosware Bhir in Kowang of Mustang have said that the bodies of those who died in the Tara Air plane crash are difficult to be identified.

A team including local Indrasingh Sherchan has reached the spot. According to Sherchan, the aircraft is badly damaged and the bodies are difficult to be identified.

“It is difficult to identify bodies. Bodies have been badly mangled, some have no hands and some are without heads, “he said.” The situation here is heartrending.”

However, the bodies are so mangled that one’s identity has been determined so far, he said.

The missing plane of Tara Air has been found crashed at Thasang-2 in Mustang district, Nepal Army (NA) has said in a Twitter message this morning.

Nepal Army had resumed search operation for the missing Tara Air aircraft in the early morning today.

The 9N-AET-DHC-6 twin-engine aircraft of Tara Air, which flew from Pokhara to Jomsom at 9:55 am yesterday, went missing after it lost contact.

There were 22 people including two German nationals, four Indians, 13 Nepalis, and three crew members in the ill-fated plane.
