Rs 15 million fraud case filed against Tulsipur Mayor’s son

DANG: A complaint has been lodged with the police against Anup Pandey, a  construction businessman for defrauding Rs 15 million in Dang.

Entrepreneur Gehendra Basnet of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis-15 Bharatpur lodged a complaint with the police alleging that construction businessman Anup Pandey has defrauded him of Rs 15 million. Construction businessman Pandey is the son of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Ghanshyam Pandey.

Businessman Basnet accused that the Mayor’s son used his tipper during the construction of Ghorahi-Tulsipur road and did not pay Rs. 14.4 million for rent and fuel.

“I have lodged a complaint at the district police office when I did not get the money from Pandey despite asking him to pay me back many times,” he said.

He said that he was forced to go to the police to seek legal redressal.

Businessman Basnet claimed that he had to seek the legal measures after Pandey started threatening him of some other action.

Earlier, the Indian construction company, Tathya Engineering and Infra Pvt. Ltd had broken contract with Pandey’s company after the latter failed to work as per the contract.
