Police nab a youth with 1 kg gold

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a young man going to Pokhara with one kg gold smuggled in illegally.

The police arrested 25-year-old Resham Sunar, a resident of Ram Bazaar of Pokhara Metropolitan City-15, on Saturday night.

According to the police,  one kg gold was recovered while checking a Ga 1 Kha 2969 number micro-bus heading towards Pokhara from Kathmandu.

A team of police deployed from the Ward Police Office, Gangangauda nabbed Sunar with the gold he was carrying hiding in the micro-bus.

The price of one kg of gold is around Rs 8 million.

The police are investigating further for details.
