Home Minister directs CDOs to work for saving people’s lives from cold wave, snowfall



KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs Bal Krishna Khand has directed the Chief District Officers to proactively work for saving poor and under-privileged people’s lives from the cold wave in Tarai and snowfall in mountains.

He also said that the government was active to avert any unfortunate circumstances and mitigating disaster through the use of science and skills.

Home Minister Khand added that collective efforts were needed to safeguard the lives of citizens from natural disasters.

He also said unplanned road construction taking place in the hills has intensified disaster risk and the new constructions have added to risk in the old construction.
