KATHMANDU: The government has decided to celebrate Poudeh 27 as National Unity Day – late king Prithivi Narayan Shah’s birth anniversary.
The government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” canceled the decision made by the Cabinet of Nepali Congress leader and then Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala 16 years ago.
The government agreed to celebrate the day after the Rastriya Prajatantra Party made the demand to do so.
RPP has put forth the condition to participate in the Prachanda-led cabinet.
