Nepal-German Mart 22 exhibition begins in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Nepal-German Mart 22 exhibition has taken place at the German Embassy, Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu today.

Organized by the Nepal German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NGCCI) in cooperation with the German Embassy Kathmandu and inaugurated by the German Ambassador Dr Thomas Prinz amid a function, the expo’s main objective is to promote business between Nepal and Germany.

It showcases cultural products and food of Nepal and Germany.

On the occasion, German Ambassador Dr. Prinz said, “The exhibition aims to continue positive development activities in bilateral trade that was interrupted for the past two years due to COVID-19.”

Altogether 40 companies from Nepal and Germany ranging from hydropower, automobile and tourism sector have taken part in the fair. Stalls set up have showcased carpets, felts and handicrafts.

As part of the exhibition, a cultural dance program will be organized on October 30. The expo that aims to create a networking platform between Nepal and Germany, and contribute to the bilateral economic relations will physically run until October 30, it has been said.

However, it will run virtually from October 29 to November 4. One can view it at www.nepal-germanmart22.com. Around 800 people are expected to participate in the physical exhibition, and around 7,000 people virtually.
