Seat allocation: NC likely to get 85 seats, Maoist Center 44



KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition parties have almost finalized the allocation of seats for the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) to be held on November 20.

The five-party ruling coalition has agreed to allocate 15 seats to the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), 17 seats to United Socialist Party, and 44 seats to the Maoist Center.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress party is likely to get 85 seats and two seats to the Rastriya Janamorcha, sources said.

According to a Maoist leader, the Maoist Center will get Kathmandu Constituency-2 and 9, and Constituency-3 in Lalitpur.

Similarly, the Maoist Center has got 8 seats in Province 1. The party has got Jhapa Constituencies 3 and 5 in the Jhapa district.

Likewise, Nepali Congress has got Panchthar, Ilam Constituency-2, Jhapa Constituencies no 1, 3, and 4; Sankhuwasabha, Tehrathum, Dhankuta; Morang Constituencies 1, 2, 3 and 6; Sunsari Constituencies 2, 3 and 4; and Udaypur Constituency-1.

Likewise, NC will also get Saptari Constituencies 3 and 4; Siraha Constituencies 1 and 2; Dhanusha Constituencies 2, 3 and 4; Mahottari Constituencies 2 and 3; Sarlahi Constituency 4; Bara Constituency 1, Parsa Constituencies 3 and 4 in the Madhesh Pradesh.

Similarly, NC has got Kathmandu Constituencies 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10; Bhaktapur Constituencies 1 and 2; and Lalitpur Constituency 1.

Meanwhile, according to the agreement, the Maoist Center has got Taplejung, Jhapa Constituencies 2 and 5; Morang Constituencies 4 and 5; among others.

In Province 2, the Maoist Center has got Siraha Constituency 3; Dhanusha Constituency 1; Mahottari Constituency 1; and Sarlahi Constituencies 2 and 3.

Similarly, the Maoist Center will also get Sindhuli Constituency 2; Nuwakot Constituency 1; Dhading Constituency 1; Kathmandu Constituencies 2 and 9; and Chitwan Constituency 3.

Likewise, out of the total 17 seats got by the Unified Socialist, it has got Ilam Constituency 1; Rautahat Constituency 1; Bara Constituency 4; Dhading Constituency 1; Kathmandu Constituency 8; Lalitpur Constituency 2; Makwanpur- Constituency 2; Kaski Constituency 2; Gulmi Constituency 4; Palpa Constituency 2; Rupandehi Constituency 2; Dang Constituency 1, among others.

Likewisel, the JSP has got Sunsari Constituency 1; Saptari Constituency 1; Siraha Constituency 4; Dhanusha Constituency 3; Mahottari Constituencies 3 and 4; Sarlahi Constituency 1; Rautahat Constituency 3; Bara Constituency 3; Parsa Constituencies 1 and 2; Kathmandu Constituency 7; Banke Constituency 2; Rupandehi Constituency 1; and Saptari-2.

Similarly, the Rastriya Janamorcha will get Baglung Constituency 1, and Pyuthan.
