Shah, Kami appointed ministers in Karnali



KARNALI: Krishna Shah and Rato Kami have been appointed the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning and Water Resources and Energy Development of the Karnali province government, respectively.

Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi today appointed Shah and Kami as the minister in the province government.

Both are from the CPN Maoist Center and were recommended for appointment to the post of minister by the party.

Shah is the chief whip of the Maoist Centre’s parliamentary party in the Province Assembly while Kami is the member.

The Maoist Center had recalled Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Bindaman Bista and the Minister for and Water Resources and Energy Development Ganesh Prasad Singh before this. Both Bista and Singh tendered their resignation to Chief Minister Shahi on Sunday.

The Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers Secretariat said that the name of the newly-appointed ministers has been sent to the Office of the Province Chief.

The Province Chief is scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy to them later today.
